1.What does Bluetooth A2DP profile mean?

A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) is a technology allowing stereo sound to be streamed via Bluetooth from any audio source  (mobile phone, PC or laptop) to a stereo speaker or headset. To do so both the source and the speaker need to support this profile.

2.What does Bluetooth AVRCP profile mean?

AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile) is a remote control. This profile enables the control functions ‘Play / Pause / Stop / Previous Track / Next Track’ directly from the SuperTooth Disco or audio source connected to it. To enable this function both the speaker and the connected audio source need to support this profile.

3. What does pairing mean?

Pairing consists when a link or audio connection is established between the SuperTooth Disco and a mobile phone or a PC / laptop equipped with Bluetooth technology.
Pairing is required only for the first connection with a mobile phone or a PC / laptop.

4. How can I pair my SuperTooth Disco with my Bluetooth mobile phone?

Important: Make sure that your Bluetooth mobile phone supports A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) before proceeding.

  • From OFF, press and hold the On / Off / Stop button for 5 seconds until beep is heard.  The Bluetooth indicator turns blinking red/blue indicating that the SuperTooth Disco is ready to pair.
  • While the SuperTooth Disco is in pairing mode, access the Bluetooth menu of your phone. Turn on its Bluetooth function then execute a Bluetooth search to find the SuperTooth Disco.  (See your phone manual).
  • When the phone displays the list of Bluetooth devices, select ST DISCO.
  • When the phone asks for the password / pin code, enter 0000 and press OK.
  • Pairing is successful if the alternating red / blue blinking of the Bluetooth indicator changes to blinking blue (standby mode).

The SuperTooth Disco is now ready to use with your phone.

5. How can I pair my SuperTooth Disco with my Bluetooth-enabled PC / laptop or via a Bluetooth dongle?

Important: Make sure that your PC or laptop has a Bluetooth dongle that supports A2DP and has A2DP compatible Bluetooth Application software installed before proceeding.

  1. From OFF, press and hold the On / Off / Stop button for 5 seconds until beep is heard.  The Bluetooth indicator turns blinking red / blue indicating that SuperTooth Disco is ready to pair.
  2. While the SuperTooth Disco is in pairing mode, access the Bluetooth program of your PC. Refer to your Bluetooth software manual on how to pair and connect to a device.  When computer asks for the password / pin code, enter 0000.
  3. If pairing is successful, the Bluetooth indicator turns blinking blue (standby mode) and when connected, the Bluetooth indicator turns steady blue. Depending on the dongle / PC / laptop used, Bluetooth connection will be made automatically or will need to be made manually via the computer menu (see your computer manual).

The SuperTooth Disco is now ready to use with your PC.

6. Standard pairing process doesn’t work with my phone. What should I do?

Some phones cannot be paired with the standard Bluetooth search. Please proceed as follows:
Important: Make sure that your Bluetooth mobile phone supports A2DP (Advance Audio Distribution Profile) before proceeding.

  1. From OFF, press and hold the On / Off / Stop button for 5 seconds until beep is heard.  The Bluetooth indicator turns blinking red/blue indicating that the SuperTooth Disco is ready to pair.
  2. While the SuperTooth Disco is in pairing mode, start the music player, press options, choose ‘play via’, and select Bluetooth stereo headset or A/V headset, and then search for devices (refer to your phone manual if needed).
  3. When the phone displays the list of Bluetooth devices, select ST DISCO.
  4. When the phone asks for the password / pin code, enter 0000 and press OK.
  5. Pairing is successful if the alternating red / blue blinking of the Bluetooth indicator changes to blinking blue (standby mode).

The SuperTooth Disco is now ready to use with your phone.

Switch off your phone, remove the battery for a few seconds then switch it on again. Switch off your SuperTooth Disco the switch it on again.

Put the SuperTooth Disco in pairing mode (see FAQs) and do pairing process again from your phone (Refer to your phone manual if needed)

10. I stream music from my phone but there is no output on my SuperTooth Disco. Why?

Does your mobile phone support A2DP profile?
Is your mobile phone paired properly with the SuperTooth Disco?
Make sure that the volume on the SuperTooth Disco is not set to minimum level.
Go to your phone’s music player and play a track. Select ST DISCO in the list you can reach from your phone’s “listen via” or “play via” menu.

Your mobile phone is not connected with your SuperTooth Disco.

-Your mobile phone doesn’t support this function. The volume can be controlled directly from the SuperTooth Disco.

16. While listening to the music via the SuperTooth Disco, and have an incoming call on my mobile phone paired with the SuperTooth Disco, can I pick up the call and have a phone conversation?

While music is playing on the SuperTooth Disco, you can still receive and answer calls on your phone. When a call gets through, music will be muted on the SuperTooth Disco.
The music resumes when call is ended or rejected.
However, with some phones, it may be required to press the Play / Pause button for 1 second or transfer audio to the SuperTooth Disco manually using the options on your phone to resume music on the SuperTooth Disco.
Note: Depending on your mobile phone, the stopped song will resume or start from the beginning.

After hanging up, the music should resume automatically via theSuperToothDisco. However, with some phones, it may be required to press the Play / Pause button for 1 second or transfer audio to the SuperTooth Disco manually using the options on your mobile to resume music on the SuperTooth Disco.

The SuperTooth Disco can be paired with up to 8 Bluetooth A2DP phones or computers, but not simultaneously.
An additional pairing will automatically delete the phone or computer that has not been used for the longest time.

It depends on your mobile phone model. With some phones, you just have to press Play / Pause button to play a track. With other phones, you need to press Play / Pause button twice: the first time to set connection, and the second to play the track.
Some phones need you to play the track from the music player of the phone.

The SuperTooth Disco is running out of battery.
When battery is low, the Bluetooth indicator / Low Battery indicator will flash red.
The audio source is running out of battery.
The SuperTooth Disco is too far from the audio source (the operating range of Bluetooth connection is 10 meters). .

-The Charge indicator at the back of your SuperTooth Disco will turn steady orange while charging.  When charging is complete, it will turn steady green.
